Tim Pearson founder of The Way in November 1999 (pictured front right with his wife) is moving on to establish a new charity called “Equipping The Saints”. Pictured with him are three of the Trustees, Judith Spence front left, Jim Penberthy left back and Mark Sutherland right, who were with Tim celebrating the Ministry with a meal.
As a result of this move the Reverend Victor Robert Farrell of 66 Books Ministry will be taking over The Way and the Church Directory.
Tim Pearson said that it was a hard decision to leave the ministry which has touched thousands of lives over the last 20 years, but the Lord is moving him on with his wife Tope, to a new wine skin in equipping the saints to fulfil the great commission, which is much needed in these last days.
Tim said that he was excited that Rev Victor Robert Farrell had agreed to take over this ministry, as he could see that it would move up to a new level, with the backing of the 66 Books Ministry. This ministry has majored on quality videos aimed at encouraging and equipping Christians to study the Word and has amongst many other resources, a devotional podcast called Night Whispers.
The present God`s Word devotionals which are sent out every morning to our subscribers, will cease at the end of December, but our subscribers can sign up to Night Whispers for continual support.
The Way will continue to tackle relevant issues that are effecting our Christian faith and challenge organisations who seek to destroy the word of God by introducing antichrist themes or Satanic measures in our society, Schools, work environment and leisure facilities.
At the present time it is hard for any Christian to be successful in Politics, Education, the Civil Service, Police or Armed Forces for fear of either being demoted or kicked out if they stand on the word of God.
20 years ago when The Way was founded, Great Britain was a totally different place where Christianity was respected and even admired. Now we find that very often prominent figures are ridiculed because of their faith, Preachers arrested on the streets for reading Scripture, Teachers sacked, Doctors and Nurse being demoted or sent to a tribunal for their Christian beliefs.
What will our society look like in 20 years’ time? Or will Jesus return before this to spare us the persecution that will inevitably pick up over the next few years.
As it says in 2 Timothy 4 v 3
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
