Mission

There are many worthy organisations offering mission both at home and abroad. In this section we highlight some of these charities so that you have the opportunity to support them in some way. If you feel God`s calling on your life to use your gifts and talents, there will be both short term and long term mission places and in some cases full time positions.

Should you not feel the calling but want to help in other ways, all these organisations require support in prayer, financial and practical ways.


WYCLIFFE Around 200 million people worldwide do not have access to the Bible in their mother tongue. Although Bible translation has been going on for thousands of years, there are still more languages in the world that don't have a single verse of scripture than those that do. Will you allow God to use your skills - in language work or hundreds of support roles - to be part of a Bible translation movement and enable millions to know him for themselves?


Interserve Their mission is to serve the churches in England, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands so that they may play their full part in serving Christ across cultures. They serve churches and individuals through the Link Team. For further information click the logo.


OM.Come to Cardiff, the capital city of Wales for a week of outreach in partnership with OM, OAC (Open Air Campaigners) and local churches. The main focus will be on open air and street evangelism. Evangelism training will be provided by gifted evangelists. This outreach is part of a National initiative for evangelism under the banner of "Hope 08" During 2008, evangelistic events of all types will be taking place around the UK. Bible Society exists to make the Bible heard. We aim to show how the Bible connects with life. We make Scripture available where there are none. We work with the Church to help it live out God’s story. We do this because Bible poverty is real. And fighting it matters. For more information click on the logo.story. In WEC International makes disciples and develops fellowships of local believers meeting together in towns and villages around the world where no church currently exists.


The London City Mission share the transforming love of God in Jesus Christ with the people of London, patiently, sensitively and individually, to enable them to join his Church.


Compassion seeks to give the opportunity for some of the world’s most vulnerable children to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.
