Moral standards continuing to decline in Britain
The continuing decline of moral standards within British society has been further highlighted by new statistics. New figures, published by the Valuation Agency, have been dubbed a "modern doomsday book", showing that the number of lap-dancing clubs, casinos and betting shops in the country are increasing, while libraries and schools are continually closing down.
The amount for libraries in the UK has declined by six per cent since 1997, while lap-dancing clubs have shot up from just 24 to 300 during the same period. Justine Greening, Conservative communities' spokesman, commented of the results:
"Labour has presided over the decline of traditional Britain and watched as our local communities are damaged. "Thanks to a decade of Labour, local neighbourhoods have lost access to essential local services and facilities."
Furthermore, the figures show that sports clubs, police stations, hospitals and public toilets are also becoming an uncommon sight.
Earlier this year, the Archbishop of York claimed that religion was being eroded from society thanks to Britain's tolerant nature.
