Religion and science come together to aid young people
A project that helps young people to make up their own minds about the relationship between science and faith has been backed by Christian charity Youth for Christ.
According to Christian Today, the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion has teamed up with Youth for Christ to produce some "Test of Faith" resources.
These resources are aimed at giving 11 to 18-year-olds the opportunity to discuss topics such as human identity, creationism and the problems of evil and suffering.
Gavin Calver, director of Youth for Christ, has pledged his support for the project, stating to the website: "The Test of Faith materials are extremely strong and will provide just the resource youth workers need to answer the questions thrown at them by confused teenagers.
"Ruth Bancewicz, a research associate at the Faraday Institute, was equally supportive of the new scheme, highlighting the fact that many see science and religion as being incompatible.
Youth for Christ is a national charity that specialises in working with "unchurched" youth.
