David Cameron should stop talking about marriage
David Cameron has been urged by members of his own party to stop talking about marriage.
The Conservative leader has pledged to give married couples tax breaks, but a number of female MPs have expressed concern about the potential to alienate single parents.
Shadow justice minister Eleanor Laing said: "It is still right to say that marriage is the basic building block of our society,"
although she added: "Families come in all shapes and sizes and that has to be recognised." Another female Tory MP said that Mr Cameron should "shut up" about the issue.
It comes after the leader told the Daily Mail that current government policy gives the impression that the institution of marriage is deemed irrelevant.
Last week, data from the Office for National Statistics revealed that the proportion of children living with parents who are married has declined over the last 12 years - dropping from 72 per cent in 1997 to 63 per cent in the second quarter of this year.

"righteousness exhalts a nation",the Bible says. No wonder this country is in a mess. God have mercy on us, when even the church does not teach truth.
